The Ohio Protective Services Fellowship Program gives Juniors and Seniors an opportunity to explore the Child Protective career field. Students are hired into participating counties and gain on the job experience. Students have flexible schedules and work 20 hours per week. Students are enrolled in Child Protective Services Core training that is required of all Child Protective Services workers in Ohio. Students will receive training in report taking, investigations, ongoing case management, and assessing safety for children and families. Students will accompany workers on home visits, office visits, interviews, court hearings, and meetings throughout their experience. This is a 2 semester commitment.
