Job Summary: As a BCBA Student seeking hours, you will work closely with our experienced Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to gain practical experience in behavior analysis. This position is ideal for graduate students pursuing certification in behavior analysis who are eager to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Client Interaction: Under the supervision of a BCBA, provide one-on-one behavior intervention services to clients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities.
- Assessment and Data Collection: Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs), develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and collect data on client progress.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Parent Training: Assist in parent training sessions to teach caregivers effective behavior management strategies.
- Professional Development: Attend regular supervision meetings and participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of client sessions, progress notes, and behavior data.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a graduate program in behavior analysis or related field
- Completed coursework in applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Familiarity with behavior assessment tools (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs
