Responsibilities
· Develops and implements individualized treatment plans
· Provides a range of therapeutic interventions with individuals with mental health disorders utilizing empirically supported modalities when indicated, within scope of their expertise.
· Conducts individual or family sessions in order to support clients as they learn to develop new skills to help sustain their daily lifestyle.
· Serves as a team member which focus on the intrapersonal, interpersonal, and relational functioning of the client and their families by utilizing various counseling techniques and strategies that will best help the client function effectively
· Maintain clinical records of all communication and interaction with clients and document the progress accordingly
· Performs related work as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
The skills and abilities required for prospective candidates to meet are as followed:
· Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree or degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
· Possess a provisional license in the state of Virginia as a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work
· Ability to communicate and interact with people of various temperaments and behaviors
· Observational Skills to details and are quick to identify behavioral inconsistency
· Knowledge of human behavior in offering resolutions to psychological concerns
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
