Van Buren Financial Group, a well-established, local financial and accounting firm is seeking a financial services assistant to assist in the firm’s growing client base. Full-time employment position is available, but willing to have part-time employment for seniors until graduation, followed by full-time employment after graduation.
The position’s responsibilities include:
- Supporting the customer service needs for our new and existing clients
- Completing and submitting financial account servicing documents, from asset management authorizations to beneficiary updates
- Processing and verifying internal and external financial transactions including Transfer of Assets (TOAs), EFTs, journals and checks
- Tracking retirement and non-retirement contribution and distribution schedules
- Maintaining and updating client records and data using our CRM platform (Redtail)
- Responding to client communication, including phone, email and social media
- Overseeing the client’s interaction with our financial planning tool (EMoney) from activation, to account connections and document maintenance
- Participate as required in client/ Lead Financial Advisor meetings
- Reviewing operating practices to suggest or implement improvements where necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Planning or related field preferred
Ideal candidates will have passed the Securities Industry Essentials exam
Two years of customer service experience
Interest and willingness to obtain securities licenses
