R2C (an AS9100D accredited company) is seeking a Director of Quality at the corporate office in Huntsville, Alabama. This position plays a key role in the program development and implementation of the current QMS. This individual will be responsible for activities of maintaining and improving upon the current manuals and procedures of R2C’s QMS. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aptitude for procedural oversight during department development.
The ideal candidate should have the following experiences, skills, attributes Bachelors of Science in a related field (BA accepted). Two+ years of International Organization for Standards (ISO) or Quality Management System (QMS) programs experience. Candidates must be extremely detailed oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a high level of professionalism. Additionally, the applicant should possess strong leadership skills, the ability to establish and maintain engagement of stakeholders, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Robust computer skills including Microsoft Office products. Internal Auditing Certification (ISO 9001:2015 or AS9100D) preferred, but not required. Key Responsibilities: The following duties will vary according to the needs of the organization. Normal duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Manage, coordinate, and improve upon existing QMS manuals, procedures, and forms, while exploring systems/programs to advance the current implementation. Coordinate training and auditing scheduling within R2C while working closely with stakeholders across all geographic regions. Work on providing support to the current Corrective Action / Preventive Action (CAPA) system and management program to ensure company-wide QMS compliance. Ensuring that processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented, and maintained throughout all R2C facilities. Provide management oversight to all direct reports by ensuring proper employee training while creating and maintaining employee files, progress reports, and professional development plans with tangible milestones. Manage and coordinate current AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 audit program standards including, but not limited to: planning/scheduling internal and external audits, supervise actions of all auditors, review audit results while providing production management tangible solutions, analyze data associated with audits while maintaining standards of continuous improvement. Scheduling and performing updates to the executive team on the performance of the quality management system and communicate any need for improvement with all management teams while continuously developing QMS documentation to follow R2C’s mission, vision, and values.
