The GAO LAB (https://ruligaolab.github.io/jobs.html) at the Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics at The Houston Methodist Research Institute (HMRI) invites applications for multiple Postdoctoral Fellow positions. Dr. Gao pioneered single cell genomic research in human cancer with strong expertise in single cell DNA and RNA sequencing technologies, computational biology and statistics (Nature Genetics 2016; Nature Communications 2017; Cell 2018). HMRI is the research enterprise for Methodist Hospital and is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College in New York city.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates, who are interested in applying single cells genomics and quantitative skills into tumor evolution, therapeutic resistance and early detection areas, as well as developing single cell sequencing data analysis methodologies. Postdoctoral researchers will also have opportunities to pursue research interest in human cardiovascular and neurodegenerative disease using single cell genomics approaches.
Applicants must be recently graduated PH.D. or M.D./PH.D.; Degrees in Statistics, Genetics and Genomics, Computational Biology, Biological Mathematics, or equivalent areas are highly preferred. Interested candidates should directly send a CV along with contact information of three references to rgao@houstonmethodist.org.
