About the Firm:
Horst Frisch Incorporated is a small consulting firm based in Washington, D.C. specializing in economic analysis of tax issues. Our main practice areas concern transfer pricing and other aspects of international taxation. Recent clients include multinational corporations based in the U.S., Japan and Europe, varying in size from small startup companies to the Fortune 5. We help these clients plan and document their transfer pricing systems, defend themselves in IRS examinations and other controversies, and present their positions on public policy issues. In addition, the IRS and other governments employ us to give them unbiased opinions on issues they have raised. Working for both taxpayers and tax authorities helps us maintain the highest level of credibility. We have testified as expert witnesses before the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the US Tax Court, US District Courts, the Tax Court of Canada, and an Administrative Tribunal in Australia.
Horst Frisch Incorporated takes pride in providing our clients with innovative and customized approaches. We believe that our clients find such approaches to be particularly valuable in situations involving complex tax and economic issues. We differ from larger consulting firms, including the transfer pricing divisions of the Big 4, in that we do not seek a high degree of leverage in staffing our projects. The Managing Directors stay directly involved in the analysis, delegating those tasks they reasonably can to our able professional staff, but retaining close control over all key issues. We have an excellent record of meeting deadlines with effective, clearly written reports.
Our culture is smart, dedicated, and casual. We celebrate our founding annually with special events like cooking challenges, interesting classes or docent led tours. We attend Washington National’s games and occasionally head out for happy hour. Birthdays are also celebrated. It’s quality not quantity!
