The position reports to either the Chief Deputy Director, Children and Family Services, or Senior Deputy Director, Children and Family Services and have immediate responsibility for managing all aspects of an assigned service or support bureau, including the bureau’s Service Planning Areas (SPAs) and established programs and services, for select key initiatives. Incumbents must exercise a comprehensive knowledge of child welfare programs, the laws, policies, and regulations, governing departmental operations, possess skill in managing professional human services staff, and the ability to work effectively with various officials and members of the public.
