About the role:

As a Researcher (Social Science Research Analyst on USAJOBS), you will develop and use survey, market research, and statistical methodologies and techniques to conduct studies of assigned HHS programs.

What you’ll do:

  • Develops and conducts analyses to identify and understand the needs and preferences of HHS health and human services programs and the populations they serve.
  • Utilizes appropriate research and statistical techniques to identify ways to improve services to these program populations.
  • Represents the organization at briefings and other meetings regarding the justification and approval of specific projects.
  • Provides statistical/research information and justification on the operational aspects of specific plan focused projects
  • Serves as liaison with representatives of the health care industry to obtain expert input, and promote understanding of HHS program issues.

Experience we’re looking for:

(1) Implementing health care programs or policy for health insurance programs.

(2) Conducting studies to analyze the impact of health care operations or policies using statistical methodologies/techniques.

(3) Utilizing research and analysis to develop communication materials such as regulations, briefing documents, or reports.

Education Requirement:

In addition to meeting the qualification requirements, all candidates must have the following educational requirements:

Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

or

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
