Full-Time Internships Expires May 1, 2021

At Big Island Farms Internships, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for students to gain degree related experience and receive crucial internship credits. Our internship program runs during the summer semester on the Big Island Farms property. It’s an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, learn new practices and techniques, and become an integral part of our farm experience in Hawaii. If accepted to our program, each student will spend four weeks on our organic permaculture farm. Hard work is expected, but in return students will build many new connections, gain valuable hands-on experience, and have a chance to reconnect to the land and the source of the foods we consume; not to mention the travel and exploration of the Hawaii Island Archipelago on weekends and during your mid-term break.

Through hands-on agricultural based programs, we offer opportunities for young adults to become stewards of the land and build upon their knowledge, spirit, and passions.

An immersive learning environment built on the pillars of humbly serving the land, supporting the local community, and functioning with respect to the Hawai’ian culture, values, and ecological systems.
