ABOUT THE POSITION
Anchor Home is seeking a Residential Counselors who are devoted, dependable, compassionate, and patient to provide direct support to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
Students and alumni with backgrounds and experience in nursing, human services, psychology, gerontology, family services, social work, sociology and education are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Assist client’s with learning, exploring and engaging in their home and community
2. Support client’s with medication administration and follow the plan of care as written by the Delegating Nurse.
3. Advocate for needs and requests of clients
4. Document actions and client response to care provided.
5. Actively listens to any concerns expressed by the client.
6. Maintain client’s comfort and well-being.
7. May be required to drive clients around the community and to several places.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum High School Diploma or College Degree
2. Driver’s license/Reliable transportation.
