THINK FOR YOURSELF AND BE HEARD!

American INSIGHT new multimedia online course provides Interns with a unique opportunity to improve their skills and develop their resumes. During the Fall Semester of 2023, we are looking for volunteers to test our online course, Make History Every Day! for FREE before we begin marketing it. We will be glad to promote your name as part of our Free Speech Team, after you complete the course, and request recognition.

The course is designed to take students on a self-guided, self-reflective, deep-dive through history that connects our nation’s core values surrounding Free Speech, Human Rights and the Rule of Law to contemporary Free Speech Films from our annual Free Speech Film Festival, and to their filmmakers from around the world.

A student from Bryn Mawr College who took the course reported that it “gave me agency” and we are looking forward to getting YOUR feedback on how the process of researching and writing about historic figures – and then applying those same lessons to contemporary Free Speech Films from around the world – impacts your thinking and motivation to change the world!

Make History Everyday! is a nonpartisan, interfaith, intergenerational multimedia course. Through testing the course, you will:

  • Improve your research skills through studying our Free Speech Storyline and Free Speech Archives and selecting a Free Speech Hero to discuss;
  • Strengthen your critical thinking skills by reflecting on your own views, passions and values, and by examining your personal response to the views and issues of others;
  • Refine your writing skills by creating blog posts about these Heroes that may be published on our Free Speech Blog and Free Speech Spotlight Blog;
  • Develop your public speaking skills by learning how to present your views responsibly, whether it’s in your day-to-day life or on social media;
  • Learn about the technical aspects and politics of filmmaking by judging and writing about Free Speech Films, and discover how filmmakers are using their voice to speak out around the world

Sign up today, and receive a Certificate of Graduation that can be mentioned on your resume!
