The Five Work Habits of Highly Successful Interns

Since 2003, The Starr Center has placed over 160 Washington College students at world-renowned organizations through its Explore America Summer Internship program. Again and again, our site supervisors at institutions like Smithsonian American Art Museum, Library of Congress, U.S. House of Representatives, Human Rights Campaign, The National Aquarium, and The Apollo Theater have said these FIVE traits lead to a successful internship experience. Join us for a 30-minute discussion to hear what these traits are, plus tips on how to grow them before your next internship. This session will be led by Amber McGinnis, assistant director for communications and outreach for the Starr Center, master trainer in the Workplace Excellence series, and former professor of communication.
