Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.
An opening for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Co-op for Spring and Fall 2024 at Philips in Reedsville, PA. This is a full-time, paid co-op.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in maintaining the ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015 certificates
- Provide advice, support, and technical guidance to the EHS team regarding environmental & safety opportunities on the production floor
- Review and develop EHS programs, including, but not limited to lone work, recycling opportunities, contractor/visitor safety
Duties And Responsibilities will include:
- Creating digital media for EHS programs
- Improving departmental efficiency through automation
- Participating in incident investigations and providing valuable input for corrective actions
- Assisting in process circularity/sustainability evaluations
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously across numerous departments
- Basic understanding of General Industry OSHA standards
- Basic knowledge of EPA and DOT regulations a plus
- Demonstrated planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proven analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and Adobe Rush a strong plus
- Familiarity with ISO standards a plus
Job Qualifications:
- Candidate must be actively pursuing an Environmental/Safety, Engineering, Science, or other related degree
- Must be available to work full-time the entire duration of the Co-op: Jan 2024-June 2024 OR June 2024-December 2024
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Willingness to work the occasional off shift a plus

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 to $28.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
