Pre- Health & Pre-Vet Professions

The Washington College Pre-Health Professions Programs are designed to help prepare students for the next steps in their health professions education by helping to explore students’ interest in the health professions, ensuring students are taking the necessary prerequisite courses for health professions schools and programs, and guiding them through the application process. Phil Ticknor, Coordinator of Pre-Health Professions Programs, works with our faculty program advisors to provide programming and information for students interested in the health professions and connect our students with alumni in the field.

Pre-Health Advisors

Pre-Veterinary: Dr. Elizabeth “Libby” Yost,, Program Advisor

Students with an interest in becoming veterinarians will be served a specialized advising program. Pre-Veterinary students are currently served by the Premedical Program. Washington College’s location affords pre-veterinary students potential hands-on experience with a wide range of animals.

Evening hours are conducted entirely through remote mode using HANDSHAKE online appointment system.
